Extension to after school provision

Establishment of specialist coaches and providers of high quality, mainly physical after school provision. Feedback shows our children do not have the ability to travel to do after school clubs or the finances to pay for these privately so school will hire the coaches that the children have expressed an interest in learning about e.g. karate. This will feed into local clubs and children will be provided with uniform and supported to enter local clubs where possible.

I went to the street dance club, we learnt some really cool dance moves

I go to the football after school club, I like to run around and try and kick the ball as much as I can

At first, we were rubbish at scoring goals, now we score goals better.  The school have now got a girls’ football team, that I want to be picked to play for

I went to Karate club, we learnt to punch boards, I enjoyed this and doing spin kicks and jumping in the air and kicking the bean bag

I went to Karate club, I learnt how to do tornado kicks and lots of different moves for self-defence.  We also had to try to move the instructor Chris by barging him
