Currently we are developing our reading scheme throughout school to ensure it is fit for purpose. We strive to provide children with high quality texts from a range of publishers as this is something they do not generally have access to at home. We hope through this part of the grant we can give our children more exciting and up to date books that they will enjoy and develop their reading skills. We want all children to have a love of reading and be a reader when they leave St Thomas’.
The additional books have been thoroughly enjoyed by my class. Our children look forward to our book exchange and readily suggest books to their friends. We need to keep building on this and buy additional titles.
